WOMANKIND

A nonprofit Design Collective Rebranding Women’s Health

Women’s health has been overlooked for too long. Underfunded, underestimated, and denied the strategic attention given to nearly every other industry. WomanKind exists to change that by providing branding resources to femtech start-ups so the innovations transforming women’s health can be seen with strength and clarity.

Because perception matters. The stories we inherit shape what we value, what we believe in, and how we move forward as a culture.

In the wild, hyena clans are led by females: fierce, intelligent, and deeply bonded. Yet the hyena has long been cast as a villain, misunderstood and misrepresented. We see her differently. We see strength that doesn’t ask for approval, and a clan that moves forward together, rewriting its own story instead of accepting the one it was given.

Design is how we rewrite the story.

OUR STORY

WomanKind began at Alfa Charlie, a branding agency dedicated to women’s health.

Over the years, we partnered with founders tackling some of healthcare’s most overlooked challenges. Again and again, we saw the same pattern: brilliant ideas solving real problems, held back not by a lack of innovation, but by limited access to strategic branding, design, and visibility.

We realized that design could do more than launch companies. It could help close the gap between breakthrough ideas and the people who need them most.

So we created WomanKind.

Today, WomanKind operates as an independent nonprofit, providing branding, design, and mentorship to early-stage femtech founders who are changing the future of women’s health. What began as an agency mission has grown into a movement dedicated to ensuring transformative ideas have the clarity, credibility, and support to thrive.
